The Trophy Is Back Home

Playing for the last time as a team the 2011 Panther football team went out in fine fashion with a thrilling 28-18 Thanksgiving day victory. The game was in doubt until Junior Jerry Thompson stripped the Abington Punt Returner and ran it in from 50 yards out with 6 seconds left. Also scoring for the Panthers was Mario Thompson, Tom Sapienza and Dondre James, John Caliri threw for two touchdowns, bringing his season total to 10. Ryan Henry picked off two more passes to give him 6 for the season, this is number 2 in the state. The win is number 8 on the season, matching the most wins for a Panther team in ten years. Congrats to the 25 seniors, you have made an ever lasting impression on the program.
