Panthers Come Up Short

In the 102nd meeting between Whitman-Hanson and Abington, the Panthers Hung tough against undefeated Abington but came up short losing 27-16. The Panthers started the scoring with a Mario Thompson to Tom Sapienza half back option pass that was set up by a Jerry Thompson fumble recovery. Torey Champignie got the home crowd to their feet with a 76 interception return to put the Panthers on top at the half 16-13. Abington added a score in the third and fourth quarters. Thank you to the seniors for all they have done for the program and going 14-8 over the last two seasons.
